The tutor demonstrates the method as students watch on.

We give a verbal explanation of the skills to be learned. Here there is opportunity for questions and challenges.

Before the student attempts to do the skill, he/she is asked to visualise their successful performance of the skill mentally in practice.
Activation
Where there is involvement of the physical sense of the skill. Like the student writing the method to encode the knowledge in their body.

This is a means of summarising and testing the newly acquired skills.

I was first introduced to Michael’s Mastery of Learning programs through a Multiplication Challenge program my three children participated in. All three children really enjoyed the programme which is tough to accomplish given their age differences (6, 12 & 15).
The programme was great for adults like my wife and I because Michael listened, he was patient; and he somehow reconnected us with the joy we once had for learning as kids.
